Rome, Fuksas’ Lantern, December 1 st 2016

The sixth edition of the Gaetano Marzotto Award, with 71 awards, 51 awarded startups, a total prize of more than two and a half million euro and an extended network of a hundred partners, has confirmed the event as the startup reference competition for the Italian innovation ecosystem. On the podium two biomedical landmarks: Eucardia, developer of a device against heart failure getting the corporate award (345 thousand euro), and Wrap, winner of the “From the idea to the company” award with diabetes therapy in 3D printing. Agro-tech, software and new materials were further focused. In the backstage, Tecnoconference Europe–Del Fio Group.

The ceremony took place in front of about 300 people, in a setting that, on scale, recalled the famous “Cloud” (the new Rome congress centre, also made on a project by Fuksas). A clever architectural lighting of the room, all in shades of blue with proper use of moving lights, created a dynamic and soft atmosphere, hovering between the suspense of the award ceremony and the awarded start ups – all future-oriented.

On stage, lights made up the usual theatrical effect, creating an expressive colour contrast. On a large LED wall the live images were projected, shot in the main hall by a two-camera Full HD direction and in the backstage by a dedicated crew.

All start uppers followed the works in the plenary inside a marquee, connected by a complex CCTV fibre optic system.

Completing the services of Tecnoconference Europe–Del Fio Group a special sound system and the live streaming on Corriere Innovazione.
